For English literature, there will be an increased emphasis on conceptual understanding with seven key concepts at the heart of both syllabuses. The new courses will no longer feature a one-to-one correspondence between the parts of the syllabuses and the assessment components.

For Music, the revised DP music course addresses contemporary developments in music professions, industries and technologies. The course's approach to creating and performing clarifies and strengthens student creativity through practical, informed and purposeful explorations of diverse musical material, practices and contexts.
